Simbioz Terminal

At the heart of any of the Simbioz systems lies the Simbioz Terminal. This is the central software hub that drives our technology. Included in this software is control through artificial vision, gesture behaviours, content playback and scheduling, system calibration and our on-screen toolbox (activated through an invisible hotspot). The toolbox includes powerful features such as an on-screen canvas for interactive annotation, on-the-fly content selection and volume control.

Simbioz Terminal enhances the entire experience by offering the ability to network these terminals in a way that maximizes content distribution with the flexibility to choose independent content for each location or screen or the same content at all locations depending on the business model

In addition to the Terminal, the Simbioz Server and Simbioz Console combination allows for very interesting creative concepts to be born. Simbioz software is capable of running networks of these terminals across the country or across the world as required with its ability to be networked and easily managed. Control is the key with our software and there are several ways to maintain it within our software framework. There can be one point of control, or several with limited control and one with ultimate control. Whatever the permutation is, it can be achieved.

Scheduling

Simbioz Terminal comes with easy to use scheduling software for 24 hours a day, 7 days a week operation allowing the user to easily "drag and drop" the content they wish to display on Simbioz Terminal at certain times during the day. This allows contents to be fresh and relevant to all times of the day, month and year.

Networking

Via its Simbioz Console and Simbioz Server, Simbioz can also run independent digital signage networks consisting of touchless, touch and non interactive screens granting its status as a benchmark product in its own right. The flexibility of the software and its raft of features assure it is among the best in class of any digital signage software.

MIDI Protocol

The system can be linked up to various devices and control these devices directly from the contents, for example smoke machines, lighting, special mechanical effects, 3D and artificial vision tools.

Diagnostics and reporting

Simbioz Terminal can register and chart people’s interactions. It can tell which sections were interacted with when and for how long thus offering the installation a complete ROI for the product. Simbioz Terminal acts as a diagnostic tool feeding back the data for the site determining what their customers want.

Screen splitting

Simbioz Terminal is capable of splitting the screen up into several sections showcasing interactive content on certain areas and non-interactive content on others. Each unit can take live feeds from digital cameras or TV signals or RSS feed.

Developer Kit

Your interactive presentation or digital signage network is only as good as the content that runs on it. Simbioz content development services can provide you with content tailored to the intricacies of touchless interactivity. Should you prefer to develop your own content, the developer kit is a cost effective tool offered to content developers targeting any of our systems. The kit allows content professionals to gain hands on experience on the capabilities of our software suite and experiment building content prior to the deployment of the actual products. Users’ expectations and behavior with regards to Touchless interaction are very different from mouse-based interaction. We strongly suggest doing real-world user testing prior to development. The developer kit comes with scaled down components not suitable for public deployment but with identical functionality of the software. Ideal for content providers and industry professionals
